Splishin and a Splashin- Swimming for the First Time...

Finally we took the babies "Swimming" for the first time.. Wow this was a lot of work.. We grabbed all the pool stuff through it in the car and we went up to the "FlintRidge" clubhouse pool.. When we got there it was after there nap time and before there lunch time, so I figured load them up and we will feed them when we get there.. otherwise it would have been after 2pm by the time we would leave the house.. anyways, feeding them there was a disaster...food was everywhere...and they really didn't want to eat they wanted to get out of the stroller and play.. so after that went bad.. we took them out of the stroller and the lifeguard there said they cant have any kind of floating stuff in the pool.. "What !!! how are we suppose to let them swim.. so this was yet again another set back.. See why we didn't take them to the pool sooner.. So we each grabbed a kid and headed off for the pool.. and I am thinking, how am I going to take picture's of them- So we jump in and I handed Drew to her Daddy ran back and grabbed my small camera.. and tryed to take pictures..

As you can see here- Mark is having a pretty hard time trying to hold both so I got the look.. Ya know what look- like put the camera down and grab one look.. so I did..

But I ran back grabbed a towel first than put my camera down on the towel and then I jumped in and grabbed a kid..

Brody had a ball... it was so hard to hold him... I had to try and holds onto Drew who wasn't much easier.. but Brody- well just look at him in these shots.. PS I also tryed to video tape them in between...hehehehe Here's Mamma's and I .. Look at how cute she looks in her bikini... and look at the sky behind us.. Perfect !!! Daddy made me trade with him for a while... did I mention that he was dunking them underwater...
This is my Bubba's and I right before we got out..So they "Splished" and they "Splashed" all day long.. and they both loved every moment of it.. Us on the other hand can see maybe if we came once a month... hahahaha hopefully we will try this again at the end of August.. we shall see..They look like they are trying to tell us something like...Mommy and Daddy lets come back again tomorrow......

First "Bitter" Cookie

So I went to the store and got these "Cookies" for them.. which I was told create a "Big Mess".. and they were right, its the first real solid that they have eaten.. I was worried about giving them something that they can choke on.. its probley my biggest fear.. but I gave it to them today and they loved it.. It was all over there hands and face.. it was gross.. it took a while to clean up everything, but hey what else did I have to do today...

Brody with his cookie.. I did have to take the last little bit that was left, he shoved the whole thing in his mouth and it was to much..

Drew at first just laughed at it.. but then she tryed it and liked it to.. she rubbed the cookie all over the top of her head to.. Weird-O

Sophia's First Birthday Party

James and Chandra had Sophia's birthday party at Nana Claire's and Papa Jim's.. They had a "Paris/French Poodle" theme for our sweet little princess... and she had a beautiful bright "Pink"cake...she looked so cute in her dress... Everyone had a great time at the party she got a lot of wonderful gifts from everyone...

All and all it was a beautiful day, not to hot and everyone had a great time...Uncle Mark was on duty today so he had to keep running back and fourth if he got a call, which luckily he only got two.. and Drew and Brody wore themselfves out playing in the bouncehouse..

Nine Month Check-Up

Drew and Brody's nine month check-up went great.. they really seem to like there new doctor.. If only I can pronounce her name correctly.. Dr. Purohit..but anyways.. All is well with them.. this is the first appointment that daddy couldn't make it to.. he goes to all of them.. but he got caught up in a project at work.. it was no big deal because they weren't getting shots or anything.. so they just weighed them and measured them and gave me the next steps for them..

Drew weighed 20 lbs 7 oz and was 29" tall


Brody weighed 22 lbs 5 oz and was 30 3/8" tall

Today first of all is "Chandra's" Birthday.. So Happy Birthday Girl !!! So after wishing Chandra a Happy BDay I was getting ready to take pictures for our friends Phil and Carla's kids.. Mainly Bridget she just turned "Two" and they havent had pictures taken of her yet.. So I put up a white sheet and was testing the lighting with my camera and found these wings... OMG.. So cute So I used D+B and my tester's which they both did a great job, and these are the pictures that I got of them..


Brody was only interested in getting the wings off of her back.. I dont think he realized that he had a pair too...

I know I shouldnt put wings on a boy.. but he looked Sooooooo cute.. I had to..

He started running all over the house in the wings... I let him, it just made me laugh..

But Anyways the shot went great with Miss Bridget, She is so Beautiful.. and Derek is Adorable too...

Mom's 68th Birthday...

My mom turned "68" today and she looks "great".. she is one of the most active Grandma's AKA Nana's that I have ever meet.. She chases four for the six grand kids around 5 days a week.. over 40 hours a week.. and enjoys every minute.. between her and my dad.. they have there own small growing day care right at home.. Anyways, I Love my Mom.. She is the best mom ever, I love being able to just call her when ever I want and be able to talk about whatever I want.. It was a beautiful day and Drew and Brody and I went and got her a "Dairy Cream" Ice cream Cake.. OMG !! YUMMY so we all got together and sang to her and had cake.. Auntie Jamie also came home from work to help celebrate with my mom..

Nine Month Pictures....."Jungle Theme"

Today I took the kids down to "Kiddie Kandid's" for there Nine Month pictures.. like normal I came down there with my ideas of what I wanted the background and props to look like... When I got there I found out that this guy named "Chris" will be taking the photos, not to happy with that because you really have to have a lot of energy and he doesn't.. but anyways I was setting the stage up how I wanted and I asked him for leaves .. any kind.. ( I was going for a "Jungle" look ) so not realizing that he would do anything stupid.. he did.. this guy goes to the front of the store..OUTSIDE on the Spectrum property and ripes out a HUGE branch off a tree, not only did he have to ripe it, it was attached to a huge vine tree and leaves were EVERYWHERE.. Dirt everything, this is the entry way for there store..so the guy working on the fountain thing in the front asked him what he was doing and he looks him dead in the eye as he is holding this huge branch and says " I am Fixing the Tree" .... Are you kidding, I had to go back inside because I just started laughing and couldn't stop.. the guy looked at him then left to go get someone else.. I looked at Chris and said owell lets take some pictures.. and here they are.. half of the branch is sitting behind them and this is a couple handful of leaves that he picked up off the ground.. but I have to admit that it looks great in the picture, I hope he doesn't get fired...

Drew had three shots to choose from.. her little face was so adorable even though she wouldn't smile...So I am putting all three up.. Not only did Chris destroy property for these pictures ,which again I totally appreciate but he didn't even charge me for these pictures, because he couldn't get one of Drew smiling..
