New Years Eve with Jay and Kim... Happy 2008 !

December, 31st 2007 soon to be 2008 !!

After our party with the kids I was looking forward to another tradition we so much enjoy and that is New Years Eve with Jay and Kim... We have been going to there house before any of us had kids.. Jim and Keri are also always there who are expecting there own set of twins soon... This year we took Drew and Brody before we put them to bed so they can hang out with Cait and Ella... Here is a shot of them all together before we took them back home...

We had Drew and Brody ready for bed, so Yes they are in there pajama's... Brody, Drew and Ella ( at the end with Micky ) are all One.. and Miss Cait ( sitting next to Drew ) is Two...

Here is Mark and My shot for our New Years... This is our "Ninth" New Years together...

YUP.... Sober as could be..Can you tell.... Funny, it feels a little weird when you don't have any drink's in you when you have hats on.. I think we were both in shock when this picture was snapped..did I mention that we were home in bed at 10pm... OMG.

Anyways.. we didn't get a guy shot this year... but we did take the girls.. so here we are :o)

My neighborhood does so many wonderful things every holiday for the kids and I wanted to contribute something too... I went back and fourth wondering if I should do a little party or not and I am so glad that I did... normally we went to my parents house and put hats on the kids ect... so I extended it by about 30 kids or so.... we had the party infront of our house... and everyone had a great time.. there were so many shots to choose from to put on here...so here are a bunch of my favorutes that will explain how our day went...

Drew with her party gear on..... How cute does she look ! She has horns in both hands but you cant tell in this shot..

I have given up on trying to get them together for a picture with prop stuff.. its hard enough with just them together..

Brody looks like hugh Hefner to me in this shot.. I really dont know why.. he wouldnt wear his hat and I realized after I took this shot that he didnt have his pants on either..

I had this really cool background thing on the garage that looked like New Yorks "Time Square".. This is the cutest shot I could get of them twogether....I love there outfits....they looked so cute in them.. Drew had little sculls on her legging... love Nordstroms :o)

We had a craft project for the kids to enjoy....

And Cupcakes to decorate... Yummy.....

Here are all the kids, I got hats and horns for everyone... we got them all together for a picture.. I had my neighbor John video tape this while everyone was getting the kids together for this shot... It is hilarious.. the horns never stopped, you could still hear the little ones crying.. I was laughing with every shot..

After the cute group shot of everyone we went to do to "Countdown" granted it was like 1 pm but it was the fun that counted, so I got this pinata that looked liked the NY Ball.. and they all counted down and pulled the strings together and then.... nothing.. thing happened the candy didnt drop out.. of course, so Mindy opened it up and the kids were happy again..


While we were doing the ball I looked over at Drew and Brody and this is what they found.. I cant tell you how many chips they consumed.. I mean they must have eaten around three bags each.. it was the first time they ever had, Cheetos, Ruffles or Frittos... they were stained orange for two days..

Mike and Jamie called us Friday Night and asked us if we wanted to go to the mountains and let the kids play in the snow.. so we were in and the next morning at 9am we were off to Mount High ...

when we got there I wasnt sure were we were going to go.. but we found out that pulling over on the side of the rode wasnt going to happen... so we went up to the snow sledding area.. and they told us we couldnt play in the snow over there that it was only for sledding so I thought owell at least it was a nice drive.. the next thing I know Mike and Jamie found an area for the kids to play.. it was great.. not icy and enough snow for the kids to have fun in.... Yahhhhhhh :o)

You know that movie the "Christmas Story" I think both Drew and Brody look just like him...

You cant really tell from this picture but Drew is crying her eyes out.. She didnt want to leave Papa's arms but I really wanted her to try the snow out so I went and got her from my dad then Mark took her from me and then put her next to Brody- who by the way was having a great time... he loved it and so did his buddy Talon.. they had a great time together.. Talon enjoyed eating the snow.. his face was so red from the cold snow against his face...

We were there for almost an hour.. then we had to leave the park security found us.. but for me it was a perfect amount of time to be there and I really dont think Drew would have handled anymore.. she was really unhappy there.. but Drew finally started to enjoy herself when we got back to the car.... here are some cute shots of them in there bib outfits that not to mention there father picked out.. he went all around the night before making she his little pumpkins were going to be warm..warm..warm.. so he went from Old Navy to Nordstroms to Chicks sporting goods and got them Jackets, Bib Overalls.., and snow shoes... and mittens, cant forget those- he did a great job not only were they really warm they looked really cute...

Well again, we didnt have time to open gifts at my parents house so Mike and Jamie and the kids meet us over there on the 26th to open the gifts from us ect.. Sophia was also there and so we took another picture of the kids together on the stairs again like Thanksgiving.. and yes I did put them back into there Christmas outfits again for today... ... anyways they got more great outfits and a couple of toys, movies and books, I cant wait to see them in all there new clothes.. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas....

Well, I don't know who was more excited me or the kids... no not because I wanted my gifts but because I couldn't wait to see there faces come around the corner and see their gifts... We both went in their room and wished them a Merry Christmas but then I grabbed the video camera and camera and went down stairs and waited while daddy and them came down.. it takes them a while to slide down the stairs.. they like to stop a lot.. but finally here they are.....

They loved their shopping carts it had a bunch of the fake food which quickly ended up all over the house.. and they got the popping things.. a Monster bubble machine.. lots of books ( that they can chew on ) .. and hats too cute... I thought in would be a cute/funny picture of them in the Santa sack.. by the look on Drew's face she didn't find it to funny/nor cute..

But after that we all had breakfast together.. pancakes and eggs and then they were off for there naps.. oooo wait that's right they didn't want to take a nap.. we put them in their cribs but instead of them lying down and going to sleep like normal that they decided to play together for the entire hour instead .. I keep ed saying to Mark they should go down any second.. well they didn't and boy did we pay for it... we meaning Mark and I .. lets just say that we had about 30 minutes at my parents house until the tried kicked in.. we got to mom and dads house around 12ish... by 1 pm.. it was almost over with.. we tried to put them down at my parents house for a nap but nothing worked.. so I said I want to get my group shot of the cousins all together and here it is.. well here is two of them.. PS these were the best ones....

Yep.. that's them, if only you could here the screaming that went with this picture.. in case you don't know whats going on here with Brody he is seconds from hitting the ground and he pretty much was done... Oh I cant forget to show you my cute family shot.. Priceless...


and what were my parents doing while all of this was going on the screaming and crying, kicking and yelling .. just sitting outside smiling.... saying next year will be easier... hummm I think they said that last year..


after the group shot of the cousins Mark put the kids in the car and took them for a drive in hopes that it will get better for us and Billie Jo and Ben's house for Christmas with the Iverson's.... They were out by the time he left my parents street.. so needless to say Mark didn't get to eat dinner and we didn't get to open the gifts which will explain why we had Christmas day twice with the Popejoy's.. So anyways we were off to see Billie Jo's and Ben's new place.. they are renting a new house in Irvine really cute nice backyard for Kaden.. anyways when we got there Drew and Brody were still asleep- No way were we waking them up so I stayed in the car while Mark went in.. Finally Brody woke up and in a good mood so it seemed in the car.. then Drew woke up about 30 minutes later.. finally I got to get out of the car and I wished everyone a Merry Christmas Hug and Kiss then I grabbed the cousins here I wasn't making the same mistake twice.. and here are the Iverson Cousin Bunch... Perfect......


If you remember from yesterday when I said Drew and Kaden had black eyes.... and Brody would soon have a fat lip well here's his shot.. he was playing in his Aunties kitchen and slipped and bit his lip... but its all better now cant even see it....

Every Christmas Eve we have a family/friend party and Alex has taken over the tradition and it now continues at his house.. It is always a great time.. but before we headed off for the party we stopped by and saw Mike and Jamie and the cousins.. to say Hi.... Here are some shots from that night..

Here's a picture of us before we left .. Drew is back in her cute Santa dress.. she wouldnt let me put her cute hairclip in.. and Brody looking so cute in his little red button up shirt... Daddy dont look to bad either in his button up shirt ...

Here is a picture of my parents with the kids... you really cant tell in either of these shots but these two kids of mine were going nuts... they really didnt want there picture taken.. last year was so much easier on getting this shot, they just layed there at two months old now they want nothing more than to be down... owell maybe next year..

Were at our Uncle and Auntie's house here and again.. they didnt want there picture - well to be honest none of them did.. but they are all so cute together... some day they are going to love looking at these pictures of themselves.. all together ..
OK - Now the Romero/Iverson/Vargas Christmas Eve Party... Alex had Santa show up - Drew was thrilled he came to see her again... anyways its alot of Food.. Tamales YUMMY and lots and lots of homemade sweets.. again YUMMY.. and who can forget the wonderful Christmas Holiday Drinks... everyone like always had a great time and here are some shots from that night...
